LAS VEGAS — James Taylor, P.E., principal and CEO of Advanced Consulting Solutions Group (ACS Group), has been named to Consulting Specifying Engineer’s (CSE) 40 Under 40 list for 2026. The annual recognition highlights emerging leaders in the engineering industry who demonstrate excellence in technical achievement, leadership and community impact.
CSE is a leading industry trade publication dedicated to serving professionals in the engineering and building systems community. Each year, CSE recognizes 40 industry professionals ages 40 and younger for their exceptional contributions in both their professional and personal endeavors.
Taylor has built a reputation as a forward-thinking leader in fire protection engineering. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, safety and technical expertise. He co-founded ACS Group in 2020 during a period of economic uncertainty, transforming a two-person startup into a multi-city engineering firm in just six years.
Under Taylor’s leadership, ACS Group has expanded to six cities with a team of 22 professionals, serving more than 275 clients and completing over 770 projects. The company is widely recognized for its expertise in performance-based design, complex code analysis and specialized work including electric vehicle facilities and mission critical data centers.
