James Taylor, P.E. Named CEO of ACS Group

ACS Group is proud to announce that James Taylor, P.E., has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer. As a co-founder of the firm, James has been a driving force behind ACS Group’s growth from a startup launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic into a fire protection engineering and life safety consulting firm with six offices across four states and clients around the world.

“As our company grows, I’m incredibly grateful for our team — the people who show up every day with talent, heart, and a commitment to doing the work the right way,” said Taylor. “The momentum we have is because of them, and I’m excited to keep building what we’ve started together.”

James brings a career defined by complex, high-stakes projects across casinos, hospitality, healthcare, government, industrial, manufacturing, and electric vehicle sectors. His international experience includes leading the commissioning team for MGM Cotai in Macau, China. That breadth of experience is reflected in how ACS Group approaches fire protection engineering today — bringing deep code knowledge, performance-based thinking, and a standard of work we hold ourselves to on every project.

Under his leadership, ACS has grown into a multi-market fire protection engineering and life safety consulting firm known for collaborative problem-solving on technically demanding projects. Looking ahead, James is focused on deepening the firm’s expertise, expanding its support for clients in evolving markets, and ensuring the team has what it needs to deliver at the highest standard.
