What to Expect:
The successful candidate will provide clients with exceptional fire protection engineering and life safety code consulting services. Anticipated roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Perform fire protection engineering services such as life safety code consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering design for a wide-range of facility types in jurisdictions across the United States.
- Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses, including plan reviews and site visits.
- Classify hazardous chemicals and prepare hazardous materials inventory statements for industrial properties.
- Assess high-piled storage arrangements and develop associated reports for high-piled storage permits.
- Satisfy client needs and expectations by completing assigned tasks on schedule and within budget.
- Preparation and peer review of project-related technical reports.
- Develop fire protection strategies, performance-based design approaches, and alternative solutions to resolve client design issues.
- Effectively communicate with project team members, clients, and others.
- Assist with business development activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and/or Civil engineering.
- We will also consider candidates that have significant industry experience in fire protection, life safety, or code consulting but are not on the engineering track.
- EIT Certification preferred.
- PE preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of related experience.
- Ability to work well independently to meet deadlines and prepare deliverables to be peer reviewed.
- Upholds professionalism and is personable when interacting with other industry professionals, associated trades, and jurisdictional authorities.
- Strong communication skills to communicate clearly and concisely with others internally and externally.
- Must be able to coordinate with professionals across multiple disciplines internally and externally. Prior history with project management is preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:
- $90,000 (~100,000) - $130,000 annually; dependent on experience

Responsible for project management, technical work product development, and business development/market development in conjunction with other senior staff. Relocation to Dallas, TX will be expected within approximately 6 months of hire in candidate does not reside in Dallas. Relocation stipend will be provided.

We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Protection Engineer to serve as the Associate Director for our Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate is passionate about fire protection engineering and looking for a professional environment that fosters development and growth. The successful candidate will be considered a Las Vegas office employee and support, primarily, the hospitality, industrial and mission critical vertical markets.

What to Expect:
The successful candidate will provide clients with exceptional fire protection engineering and life safety code consulting services and assist with business operations. Anticipated roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Role encompasses 50% technical work, 25% operations management, and 25% business development.
- Collaborate on strategies to establish
- Provide fire protection engineering services, including life safety consulting, sprinkler design, fire alarm design, and performance-based fire engineering design across various facility types, with a focus on the Las Vegas market.
- Design of fire protection systems including fire suppression, fire detection, fire alarm, and mass notification systems.
- Review and consultancy of project related design documentation for life safety code compliance.
- Conduct architectural drawing reviews to identify critical egress issues along with the preparation of master egress drawings for various projects.
- Build fire, smoke, and/or egress models for various projects. The modeling software that will be utilized are CONTAM, Pathfinder, and FDS
- Mentor junior staff members
What We’re Looking For:

- The ideal candidate would be at a mid-to-senior level with the prospect of advancement within 12 months to a Director role in which they will oversee the entire Las Vegas office operation.
- Must reside in the Las Vegas metro area.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical and/or Civil engineering.
- Strong technical background.
- 5-10 years of professional experience.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Experience using BlueBeam, Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to work well independently and to interact with other industry professionals, associated trades, and jurisdictional authorities.
- Experience with casino / hospitality, high-rise buildings, data centers, automotive/battery manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, and other industrial facilities is highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $110,000-130,000 annually
- Relocation allowance
- Competitive and encouraged Paid Time Off (PTO); up to four (4) weeks.
- Mid-year and End of Year bonus, up to 10% of salary, based on company and personal performance.
