MEET OUR TEAM
David Neschke
Principal
David has been in the Fire Protection field for over 24 years. He first started in the industry when he joined the United States Navy in 1994. His Navy training involved the inspection, testing and maintenance of shipboard firefighting systems. In 1999 He joined Fire Protection Management (FPM) and continued to conduct inspections and testing of fire and life safety systems in the built environment. When FPM was absorbed by Rolf Jensen and Associates, David expanded his knowledge base to include code consulting and system design. Now as a Principal at ACS Group he is able to utilize his years of training and his Business degree to help build and run the company he co-founded.
James Taylor, P.E.
Principal
With over 13 of years industry experience, James is responsible for technical oversight of large, complex projects in the hospitality, residential, assembly, educational, government and industrial markets.
James also has extensive experience in inspection, testing and commissioning fire protection systems, smoke and egress modeling, hazardous analysis, Lithium Ion battery strategic protection and cannabis fire protection.
Gage Weilert
Principal
Gage Weilert is serving as the Principal for the ACS Group Austin, Texas office. His duties include oversight of the office and associated Texas operations, business development and client relations. Gage has extensive experience in analysis of industrial processes and hazardous materials, design and commissioning of fire protection systems, alternate means and methods, and life safety code consulting. An expert communicator, collaborator and leader - Gage strives for excellence in all he does.
Tanner Burke, P.E.
Principal, Regional Director
As the Director of the Austin Office, Tanner has extensive experience in workload and resource management, staff training, writing detailed technical reports, evaluating code compliance for high-risk occupancies, resolving complex engineering issues, and performing onsite condition assessments.
Sean Miller, CFPS
Regional Director – West
Sean Miller has been a fire protection and life safety consultant for over 14 years, specializing in system design, consulting, and code compliance. He has worked across various sectors including Industrial, Data Centers, Higher Education, Life Sciences, Mixed-use, and Healthcare. His international and domestic experience allows him to integrate safety measures seamlessly from pre-design to the Certificate of Occupancy, ensuring projects meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
As a Regional Director, Sean brings extensive research, leadership, and strategic positioning experience to the team. His commitment to excellence and innovative solutions makes him a trusted advisor in fire protection and life safety for both small and large-scale projects.
Tony Callaway
Director of Code Compliance
Tony Callaway currently serves as the Director of Code Compliance. With over 27 years of combined experience in fire and law enforcement, Tony has dedicated his career to public safety, primarily in the role of Fire Marshal. His most notable position was as the Chief of the Travis County Fire Marshal Office, where he managed multiple divisions, including fire/building code, fire and explosion investigations, fire education and outreach, special events, and wildfire prevention, until his recent retirement from the public sector.
Mark Del Rosario
Finance Manager
As the ACS Group Finance Manager, Mark oversees all aspects of accounting and finance. Recruited to support organizational growth, his philosophy is to understand the business, enhance reporting, and to innovate, automate, and improve company processes.
Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in Southern California, where he served as an officer in the Accounting Society and was a member of the Honor Society. He is a licensed CPA in Nevada, having transitioned his license from California, which he obtained while working in public accounting for Ernst and Young, LLP. With 17 years of experience in the Healthcare industry, Mark has led month-end close activities, process improvements, data warehouse buildouts, system conversions, and integration of acquired entities. He serves as a vital and indispensable member of our team, ensuring the company's financial growth and stability.
Drew Perduk, P.E.
Associate Director – Austin
Serving as a Fire Protection Engineer in ACS Group's Austin Office, Drew brings with him wide-ranging experience in all aspects of fire protection engineering. Being extremely detail-oriented, he specializes in the design and commissioning of complex fire protection systems and implementing technical and creative life safety solutions. At ACS Group, Drew continues to expand his knowledge in the ever-changing and advancing world of fire protection and life safety in the pursuit of creating a safer built environment for all.
Jon Bernal
Associate Director – Las Vegas
Jon Bernal joins ACS Group as the Associate Director in Las Vegas, bringing extensive fire protection experience from across the country. After serving as a fire protection engineer near Washington, DC, he returns to Nevada with a diverse background-including roles as a licensed fire alarm technician in New York City, volunteer firefighter on Long Island, and owner’s representative for the US government.
Jon has led technical teams on major projects, managed fire protection programs for government campuses, and designed systems for colleges, hotels, casinos, and energy storage facilities. Committed to protecting communities, Jon is eager to bring his expertise to the ACS team.
Daymon Garcia
Senior Fire Protection Designer
Daymon is a Senior Fire Protection Designer in ACS Group's Reno Office with over 18 years of experience in the Fire Industry in the US, Australia and New Zealand. He has a background in Sprinkler Design, Design & Project Management, and Special Hazards. He is responsible for collaborating with all stakeholders to meet client objectives and design sprinkler systems that are code compliant.
Cristian Cohen
Senior Fire Protection Engineer
Cristian Cohen has over 7 years of experience in the Fire Protection and Life Safety industry. As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer and Consultant at ACS Group in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Cristian’s focus is on providing FPE services and growing the business. With a background in both state and federal governments, he has served as an inspector, code enforcer, and consultant for a multitude of spaces, from courthouses and office buildings to high-rises and specialized storage facilities.
Cristian holds a master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from Cal Poly, is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, and is certified as an NFPA Fire Inspector and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Before specializing in FPLS, he gained valuable experience ranging from the food and beverage industry to medical devices and multi-family housing, giving him a well-rounded and practical approach to safety solutions.
Jessica Smith
Marketing Coordinator
An accomplished marketing professional based in Austin, Texas, Jessica Smith plays a pivotal role in supporting ACS Group's marketing and business development strategies. With over 20 years of experience in the residential and commercial construction sectors, she combines her expertise in creative strategy, problem-solving, project management, and customer support to excel as a marketing professional.
Her background in art and photography, along with her extensive marketing and administrative experience within the construction industry, uniquely positions her to lead successful marketing initiatives. Jessica's commitment to excellence and her diverse skill set makes her an invaluable asset to the ACS Group team.
Cole Nolting
Fire Protection Associate
Cole is a Fire Protection Associate in ACS Group’s Austin Office, with an education background of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He has experience with Sprinkler contracting and writing technical reports on a wide range of buildings, including commercials, schools, and apartments. Cole assists the team under the supervision of a Professional Engineer to ensure on-time deliverables and client satisfaction.
Hyunbae Choi
Fire Protection Associate
A Fire Protection Associate at ACS Group in Salt Lake City, Utah, Hyunbae (hi-yun-bay) Choi helps keep people and property safe by designing and inspecting fire protection systems for a range of clients. With experience on both federal and private sector projects, Hyunbae is known for his practical approach, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting the highest safety standards.
He earned both his Bachelor’s in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology and his Master’s in Fire Safety and Explosion Engineering from Oklahoma State University, where he also served as a teaching and research assistant. Hyunbae brings a blend of technical expertise and genuine dedication to every project, always striving to deliver reliable and effective fire safety solutions.
Bobbi Amburgey
Office Manager
Bobbi Amburgey is the Office Manager for ACS Group and has over 20 years' experience working alongside executive teams in the fire protection engineering industry. She is responsible for all day-to-day office operations and procedures, maintains the monthly billing, is highly dependable, ethical and uses her skills to ensure smooth operations in the busy ACS work environment. She works closely with the senior management team and shares the ACS team's vision for excellence.
Teresa Green
Operations Administrator
Teresa Green is a seasoned business professional with over 20 years of experience in retail management, sales, business development, marketing, and HR. As our Operations Administrator, she plays a key role in the day-to-day functionality of our team. Her early career was shaped by hands-on experience in her family's water conditioning business, where she honed her skills in business operations, customer service, and financial management.
Teresa also spent 9 years in the life safety industry, developing expertise in customer relationship management, business development, human resources, and administration. She excels at building and maintaining positive relationships across all organizational levels and is excited to be working in the life safety industry once again.
Preston Winters
Fire Protection Intern
As a Fire Protection Intern in ACS Group’s Las Vegas Office, Preston has one cumulative year of industry experience. He started with ACS as an intern during the summer of 2021 as a senior in high school but has recently taken on a part-time position while he pursues a computer science degree at UNLV. In his time working at ACS, Preston has experience in egress drawings, alternate means and methods, high piled combustible storage, and smoke and egress modeling.
